Forest Section Officers
Must possess a Bachelor’s  Degree in Botany or Forestry or Horticulture or Zoology or Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics or Statistics or Geology or Agriculture  as a subject.
(OR)
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering of any University in India, established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or Provincial Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or any equivalent qualification.

Forest Beat Officer
Must have passed Intermediate Examination or its equivalent.

Assistant Beat Officer
Must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent.
04
Bunglow Watcher
Must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent.
05
Thanadar
Must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent.
06
Technical Assistant
Must possess a trade certificate of draftsman (civil) trade, i.e ITI in the state or its equivalent examination.

Physical Measurement Requirements: No person shall be eligible for appointment by Direct Recruitment.
For Men
For Women
    He is not less than 163 Cms in height. 
She is not less than 150 Cms in height
He has 79 Cms around the Chest on expiration and must have on full inspiration, an  expansion of not less than 5 Cms.
She has 74 Cms around the chest on expiration and must have on full inspiration, an expansion of not less than 5 Cms.
Provided further that in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and races such as Gurkhas, Nepalese, Assamese, Meghalaya, Ladakh, Nagaland, Manipuri, Goutha, Kashmir, Sikkimese, Bhutanese and Tripura, the minimum standard of height shall be as follows:
Men     : 158 Cms.
Women : 145 Cms.

Walking Test and Medical Examination :
The candidates qualified in written Examination and shortlisted ( in 1:2 Ratio )will be required to undergo a medical Examination to be conducted by a Medical Board.

The Eligible candidates shall be subjected to the test of walking. In case of male candidates, a distance of 25Km walking is to be completed in 4 hours duration. In case of woman candidates, a distance of 16km is to be completed in 4 hours duration.
Note: The following physical measurements are mandatory for the posts of Forest Section Officer / Forest Beat Officer / Assistant Beat Officer / Bunglow Watcher / Thanadar. (These measurements are not essential for the post of Technical Assistant.)

(I) PAPER – I - GENERAL ESSAY: 
(II) PAPER – II - GENERAL KNOWLEDGE 
1. General Science – Contemporary developments in Science and 
Technology and their implications including matters of every day 
observation and experience, as may be expected of a well-educated 
person who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline. 
2. Current events of national and international importance. 
3. History of India – emphasis will be on broad general understanding of 
the subject in its social, economic, cultural and political aspects with 
a focus on AP Indian National Movement. 
4. World Geography and Geography of India with a focus on AP. 
5. Indian polity and Economy – including the Country’s political system 
– rural development – Planning and economic reforms in India. 
6. Mental Ability – Reasoning & Interfaces. 
(III) Paper –III :GENERAL MATHEMATICS 
 State syllabus – up to 10th Class (SSC). 

SYLLABUS FOR THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION FOR THE RECRUITMENT 
OF THE POST OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANT 
1. PAPER I: Draftsman (Civil) trade in ITI. 
Current syllabus prescribed for the above subject by the State Board  of Technical Education. 
2. Paper II : GENERAL KNOWLEDGE 
General Science – Contemporary developments in Science and Technology and their implications including matters of every day  observation and experience, as may be expected of a well-educated  person who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline. 
Current events of National and International importance. 
History of India – emphasis will be on broad general understanding of
